What is Visa?

A visa is an official government‑issued endorsement on your passport that gives you permission to enter, stay, or travel through a country for a specific purpose and duration (tourism, study, work, etc.). It’s basically a pre‑approval—you still need to satisfy border officers on arrival. Types vary: tourist/visitor, student, work, transit, business, and more. Each country sets its own rules, forms, fees, and required documents.

List of Schengen Countries..

The Schengen Area includes 29 European countries that have abolished internal borders for passport-free travel. With a Schengen visa, you can travel freely between these countries for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism or business. As of 2025, these countries are:

1. Austria, 2. Belgium, 3. Bulgaria, 4. Croatia, 5. Czech Republic, 6. Denmark

7. Estonia, 8. Finland, 9. France, 10. Germany, 11. Greece, 12. Hungary, 13. Iceland, 14. Italy, 15. Latvia, 16. Liechtenstein, 17. Lithuania, 18. Luxembourg, 19. Malta, 20. Netherlands, 21. Norway, 22. Poland, 23. Portugal, 24. Romania, 25. Slovakia, 26. Slovenia, 27. Spain, 28. Sweden, 29. Switzerland.

Some countries allow you to get a visa when you land at the airport or border. You typically need to fill out a form, pay a fee, and show documents (passport, return ticket, proof of funds, etc.). It’s convenient but not guaranteed—approval is at the immigration officer’s discretion.

What is On-Arrival visa?
What is visa free travel?

If your passport is from a country that has an agreement with another nation, you can enter without a visa for a limited time (usually 30, 60, or 90 days). You still need a valid passport, and sometimes proof of onward travel or funds. Example: Indian passport holders can travel visa-free to countries like Fiji, Mauritius, and Maldives (for limited days).

What is Transit visa?

A transit visa is a short‑term visa that lets you pass through a country’s airport (or sometimes its territory) on your way to another destination. It’s typically needed for airside transit in countries like the US, Canada, Australia, and many Schengen states, especially if you’re from a nationality that isn’t visa‑exempt. It usually doesn’t allow you to leave the airport’s international zone, and you can’t stay long—often just 24–48 hours.

What is Sticker Visa stamping?

Once your visa is granted, the visa stamp will be affixed to your passport (typically at the consulate or embassy). It contains information such as visa category, expiration date, duration of stay, and allowed entries. You are required to have this passport when you travel; without it, you may face entry refusal.

What is Airside Transit visa?

Occurs within the airport’s international area (you do not go through immigration). You remain in the transit zone and board your subsequent flight. airside transit visa is often necessary (particularly in countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, and Schengen states). No customs clearance is required as you are not entering the country.

What is Landside Transit visa?

You exit immigration and enter the country temporarily (even if just for a few hours). Requires passing through passport control and customs. Usually needs a regular visa (tourist/visitor) unless you’re from a visa-exempt country. You can leave the airport (e.g., for a hotel or city tour) before your next flight.

What is Tourist/Visitor visa?

For leisure travel, sightseeing, or visiting family and friends. Usually short-term (30–90 days), these trips can be filled with various activities such as exploring local attractions, dining at favorite restaurants, and enjoying unique experiences that a destination has to offer. Whether you're embarking on a weekend getaway or a longer stay, there are countless opportunities to make lasting memories.
